Chiara has Turner today while I spend the day with my sis. They begin the day with "special" cereal, move into chocolate milk, lunch with potato chips, share some more
chocolate milk, and end with ice cream. As the two stand in line at Coldstone Creamery, Turner asks Chiara, "What color you want Chair-a?"
"Oh, I don't want any buddy."
"Why?"
"It is your special day."
He puts his hand on her face and says, "You're special too Chair-a."

The Turner girls, Chiara, Turner, and I are sitting at the kitchen table enjoying BBQ chicken and memories. James, the famously chattering engine Turner favors, is ringing a horn on the table. Dawn teases Turner and says she is taking James home. Turner says, eyebrows perched in sincerity, "You can't have him. He is so special to me."

We are at my folks' house. Turner is crawling around on their hardwood floor working the battery-operated (and very loud) train. Pa Pa is in close attendance. There is a noise. "Turner, was that a pooter?" Andy inquires.
Without stopping his play, Turner says, "It sure sounded like it."
I ask him to repeat it. He looks over his shoulder and repeats, "It sure sounded like it."
